The poet says that all men are equal. None of them are strange. Different armies wear different uniforms. But the people are same under those uniforms. Life is common in all lands. When we indulge in wars we bring ruin to ourselves.
James Kirkup (1918 - 2009) was an Englishpoet, translator and travel writer.
He won the Atlantic award for literature in 1950. He was a conscientious objector.Content:
